City of Hayward (Keep Hayward Clean & Green)

Neighborhood cleanup and beautification events. All are welcome, but supervision is not provided for minors — students must be accompanied by a registered adult participant throughout the event. Events run 8:00am-noon; volunteers can stay for as little as an hour or the full four hours.

Masonic Homes of California – Union City Campus

Support residents through social and recreational activities, special events, and clerical projects. High schoolers engage directly with older adults in meaningful ways. Skilled nursing volunteer roles require volunteers to be at least 16. Volunteers under 18 must have a parent or guardian present during orientation, and all volunteers need a negative TB test within the last 6 months.
