City of Fremont Environmental Services
Volunteer at City of Fremont park cleanups, creek cleanups, and habitat restoration events. Tasks may include removing litter, sorting recyclables, watering native plants, removing invasive plants, and mulching. Students can earn community service hours for participating.
Event-based. Habitat restoration events are offered several times per month, while creek and neighborhood cleanups run on irregular schedules. Register separately for each event. Dates, times, locations, and available spots vary.
A signed Volunteer Form is required. Volunteers under 18 need a parent or guardian to complete the required acknowledgements during registration. Event-specific age limits may apply. Wear sturdy closed-toe shoes or boots and bring a reusable water bottle.

Open the registration portal and enroll in a currently posted event. If no event is available, use the City’s cleanup and habitat restoration page to join the email notification list. Enroll promptly because weekend events may fill quickly.
